Greetings, and welcome to my practicum website! My name is Sarah and I am a Registered Nurse completing my Master’s of Public Health in Family and Community Medicine at University of Toronto. I have had the opportunity to work in psychiatric, geriatric, and stroke rehabilitation nursing. Public health is my passion and this past summer I had an amazing opportunity to learn at Toronto Public Health. My practicum involved three separate portions. I was involved with an independent research project with the Best Practice Spotlight Organization’s Therapeutic Relationships Committee. Through attending home visits and Toronto Public Health Clinics, I was able to build my own understanding of public health assessment and delivery. At the end of my practicum at Toronto Public Health, I decided to reflect on my learning and construct an online portfolio so that other practicum students may access this site and learn more about what to expect in their own practicum experiences. Thank you for visiting my site and I hope you enjoy the content.
